Jesinta Franklin: Pregnant model shows off baby bump

The 28-year-old mum-to-be showed off her growing baby bump, revealing the first 12 weeks of her pregnancy have been “really difficult”.

Jesinta Franklin has opened up about her “really difficult” first 12 weeks of pregnancy during her first public appearance since announcing her pregnancy earlier this week.

The model looked every bit the glowing mum-to-be at Myer’s 2019 Spring Style Edit in Melbourne today.

Jesinta was stunning in a blue satin wrap dress, lovingly cradling her baby bump as she posed for photos.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, the Myer amabassador described the first few weeks of her pregnancy as “really difficult” but something she and her husband, Sydney Swans star Buddy Franklin, had “dreamt of for such a long time”.

“I’ve spent more time in bed and on the couch than I’ve actually (been) outdoors in the sunshine,” Jesinta said.

“But I’m feeling much better now.”

On Tuesday, Jesinta announced that she and Buddy were expecting their first child together, revealing their journey to parenthood had been “challenging”.

“My husband and I are so incredibly excited and overjoyed to announce that we have a baby on the way,” Jesinta wrote on her lifestyle app, JESINTA.

“The journey to get here hasn’t been easy and this little life is the greatest gift and we feel truly blessed and grateful that we will have a little angel of our own.

“We have both dreamt of this for a long time and while the 2.5 years have been physically and emotionally challenging, there’s nothing we would change as its brought us to this beautiful moment.”

The couple secretly married in 2016.

She added: “The immense love we already have for our baby is indescribable and we can’t wait to meet our little miracle.”

Since they married in 2016 in a top-secret Blue Mountains ceremony, Buddy and Jesinta have been tight-lipped about their baby plans.

Jesinta previously told Marie Claire that she knew Buddy would make a “beautiful” father when they do decide to have children.

The couple began dating in 2012, with Buddy proposing to Jesinta in December 2014.

A former Miss Universe Australia, Jesinta is one of the country’s top models and is an ambassador for the likes of Olay and Moet & Chandon.
