In a clip this week that’s been watched 22.8 million times, the mum-of-three could be seen picking up her newborn son in the hospital and rocking him against her chest.
Hundreds of viewers took to the comments to applaud the mum for sharing her post-partum body.
“Girl I have no idea how you’re up walking around so gracefully. I was a wreck,” one wrote. “You’re gorgeous.”
Meanwhile a second said: “This is the most beautiful thing I have seen today.”
“This is probably the most beautiful video I have ever seen,” a third person wrote.
“Absolutely gorgeous! Get it girl! Embrace the beauty of you and motherhood!”
Others were surprised at what a woman’s body looks like so soon after giving birth.
“I was today years old when I found out the stomach doesn’t just go away right after the baby comes out lol,” one wrote, attracting upwards of 4000 likes.
“My bump disappeared immediately! Didn’t know it was possible for it to be like that, amazing,” another mum commented.
“I love that you’re showing that the stomach doesn’t go right back down. Beautiful.”
According to Queensland Health, women are considered post-partum for two years after having their baby – not just a couple of days or weeks.
During pregnancy, your ribs expand and hips often widen – which “for some women will be permanent”.
“Many pregnant women or new mums wonder after having a baby if and when their body will return to how it was before pregnancy and childbirth,” a piece on the department’s website reads.
“And the answer is, it’s different for every woman. How you recover will often depend on your birth experience and your pregnancy.”
