US mum slammed by trolls after revealing toddler’s lunch on TikTok

A woman’s video showing what she feeds her toddler has gone viral after it sparked a huge reaction with some branding it “cat food”.

A woman has sparked a huge online division after she shared several videos showing what she feeds her 13-month-old daughter.

The US mum, who goes by the TikTok handle @texykitchen1, often makes her little girl home-cooked food from pasta with mince meat, chicken curry and even steak.

In one post, which has since amassed more than two million views, it shows the mum scooping a portion of rice and curry in a wooden bowl.

While some described it as a hearty lunch, the New York mum revealed others branded it “cat food” with some going as far as saying her daughter should be taken away from her.

“I’m calling CPS (Child Protective Services). Who feeds there [sic] child that,” one woman wrote.

“Call them. I’m sure they won’t mind a hot meal,” the mum clapped back in another video.

She has since shared other clips of her daughter’s lunches, alongside a several more screenshots of the harsh comments she receives.

“Is that cat food?” one of the comments read.

“Who feeds their child that,” another asked.

“But for real, who would ever feed their kid that disgusting food,” another person added.

“OMG did you just give your 13 months old chicken curry,” a fourth person said.

Others were baffled by the criticism left by fellow mums and TikTok users, asking what was wrong with the woman’s food.

“Literally I have rice and meat all the time, nothing is wrong with that, like people need to chill,” one user wrote.

“This is how not to have a picky child! Good job mama. Leave her alone please,” another person added to which the mum responded with a peace emoji.

“Why do ppl (sic) think that babies can only eat baby food and not ‘table food’! They just mad bc baby has a better palate than them,” said a third.

In the comments section of the videos, which have since amassed thousands of responses, others couldn’t believe people were suggesting calling child services.

“Imagine how that phone call to CPS would go. Your calling CPS because someone is feeding their child a healthy meal, like WHAT?”

The clips have continued to be inundated with comments in support of the mum’s food for her daughter.

“Thank you to everyone who is following me and showing me so much love and thank you to comments like this ‘bad mum’,” the woman had said in another video.
