Hilarious moment three-year-old finds his way into toy machine in play centre and gets trapped inside
THIS Irish toddler wanted a prize from the claw machine and he didn’t care what it took to get it. His older bro wasn’t overly concerned by the situation.
THIS is the moment three-year-old Jamie Bracken Murphy clawed his way into a toy machine in a play centre in Ireland.
The mischievous toddler’s brother Shane, five, and his dad tried in vain to free Jamie before an off duty fireman happened upon the scene and freed Jamie.
It’s fair to say that looking at the pics, older brother Shane wasn’t too concerned for his little brother’s wellbeing.
Speaking to the Irish Sun, Jamie’s dad Damien told how he wasn’t surprised when he heard Jamie complaining from inside the machine in Nenagh, Co Tipperary as he always gets himself into these crazy situations.
He said: “We were at a table in the play centre and Shane was talking to me and my attention was taken away from Jamie for a moment.
“He went out of my eye line towards the amusements and next thing I heard was a muffled kind of complaint. When I looked over he was behind the glass of the game.
“Like as I’m talking to you now Jamie’s climbing into the boot of my car, that’s what he’s like in a nutshell.
“I wasn’t even surprised! I was like ‘of course’. I showed it to the staff at the play centre and they said they’d never seen anyone do that before.
“He was a bit scared for a second and I told him not to worry that we’d get him out and he just calmed down and thought it was funny.”
Damien, who lives in Nenagh, told how Jamie thought the episode was hilarious and wanted to go back into the machine after he was freed by an off duty fireman who happened to be in the play centre.
He said: “I tried to get him out and it looked like there wasn’t any room to shimmy him out.
“But there was an off duty fireman who was actually there and he works up in Tallaght and he said literally this is his job to get kids out of things.
“So he knew that there should be space for him to get out and he was able to move Jamie back into the machine calmly and the guy got a hold of his legs and guided him back out.
“He got back out no problem. We were actually waiting on one of the owners of the play centre to come back with the keys to the machine.
“Jamie was fine coming back out. He was almost acting like he wanted to go back in. He thought it was hilarious.
“Shane was trying to get him back out. They get on great. They both got a free toy out of it so they were delighted.
“We’re just so used to Jamie doing these things. He’s a very sharp kid, he’s actually very smart but he’s so mischievous and so confident that you just can’t take your eyes off him for a second.
He added: “It was literally in five seconds he got himself into that machine.”
