Big W has announced a huge 50 per cent off toy sale, with parents flooding stores to get ahead of Christmas shopping and praise the “lifesaving” deals.

Early Christmas shoppers are on notice: the dates of Big W’s much-anticipated annual Big Whopping Toy Sale have been announced.

The massive promotion, once called the Toy Mania sale, attracts huge crowds across the country each year with thousands stocking up on gifts for loved ones and scoring up to 50 per cent off toys.

The sale will kick off online from 7am on Tuesday, June 13, and in Big W stores from Thursday, June 15, and includes budget-conscious deals on hundreds of toys from brands including Barbie, LEGO and homegrown favourite Bluey.

The Big Whopping Toy Sale will run for a month until July 12. Parents can take a sneak peek at the bargains in the sale catalogue dropping on Monday in Big W and Woolworths stores.

Among the deals are a Magic Mixies Crystal Ball for just $50 down from $130 and a Nerf Fortnite B-AR Blaster for $37 down from $75.

Hot Wheels fans are certainly in for a treat, with the 1:24 Monster Trucks available for just $9 each. Barbie Outdoor Playsets are hitting shelves for just $30, a discount of over 50 per cent.

Transformers Rise of the Beasts Smash Changers will also see their price slashed to a mere $34 each, while the popular L. O. L Surprise Original Tot dolls will be sold at half-price, only $10 each.

For the littlest kids, the Fisher-Price DJ Bouncin’ Beats will be on sale for just $44, and Bluey’s Brisbane Bus Adventure Playset will be sold for $19.

Mums and dads are sharing their excitement ahead of the sale online, with many revealing their toy sale budget-savvy tips.

“I love this catalogue, it’s perfect for my boys to limit everything they would want to a more appropriate amount,” one mum shared. “I just hand them the catalogue and a sharpie and let them get circling.”

“I’ve done the toy sale for the last few years and it’s life-changing not having to Christmas shop in December,” wrote a second.

“As a first time mum, I must say this is impressive,” commented a third.

Many swore by Big W’s lay-by option, which allows shoppers to pay off their purchases within 20 weeks, alleviating financial stress around the holidays.

“This is our lifesaver every year!” one dad wrote. “I buy gifts in bulk to last through November birthdays and Christmas, paying them off as I go. Easiest way to keep the present budget in check.”
