TORI Spelling has revealed she nearly died from internal bleeding during her fourth pregnancy.

The former 90210 star told Us weekly that she was rushed to hospital at the 20-week mark after she woke up with blood streaming down her legs.

Spelling's placenta was covering her cervix - known as placenta previa - putting her at risk of massive internal bleeding. She was confined to bed for ten terrifying weeks, during which feared for her life and the lives of her children.

The blood loss she suffered was serious that at one point doctors considered terminating her pregnancy to save her life.

"I just remember thinking, I can't leave three children behind," she told Us weekly.

Spelling's husband, Dean McDermott, hid the severity of her condition from her fans, tweeting that her stay in hospital was simply due to tests.

Spelling, 39, gave birth via C-section to a healthy boy, Finn, on August 30 but three weeks later she had to undergo emergency surgery after her scars burst open.

She has now recovered and is back at home with Finn and her three other children, Liam, 5, Stella, 4, and Hattie, 12 months.

She told Us: "When they put (Finn) in my arms I was like, 'We made it.' We have an insane bond. We've been through hell and back."
