MAKING the cover of Time magazine - dream for some, nightmare for others.

And among those others is Jamie Lynne Grumet, whose confronting "Are You Mom Enough?" cover made headlines around the world earlier this year.

Mrs Grumet said she only agreed to do the Time interview and photo shoot to help erase the stigma of breastfeeding past infancy.

But the image of her three-year-old son sucking on her breast while tiptoeing on a wooden chair didn't exactly help the cause, inflaming an already controversial topic.

"I definitely don't agree with the cover, and I don't agree with the article," she told ABC News in the US.

She said the cover image was an out-take and made her family look odd.

"My intentions were to help relieve the stigma attached to breast feeding past infancy, but the photo I saw wasn't the one that we were trying to pose for. It made me really, really sad."

The image of attached parenting Mrs Grumet wanted to promote is now on the cover of Pathways to Family Wellness Magazine.

The cover shows her seated with her now four-year-old boy Aram suckling her breast while her husband, Brian, and adopted son, Samuel, look on.

Mrs Grumet, who breastfed until she was six, said: "There are people who tell me they're going to call social services on me or that it's child molestation. I really don't think I can reason with those people.

"There seems to be a war going on between conventional parenting and attachment parenting. That's what I want to avoid. I want everyone to be encouraging. We're not opposing teams."
