Worst thing you can do when naming your baby
When it comes to choosing a name for your new baby, this is the one thing you should never, ever do.
Naming a baby is no easy feat. You don’t want something that’s too common, but equally you don’t want your child to spend their life repeating their moniker.
And that can be a particular problem when it comes down to the spelling, The Sun reports.
In fact, TikToker Amber, better known as The Name Fairy, who shares her tips for classic but unique monikers on her TikTok account, has now shared her least favourite names.
In the recent video, she revealed her “biggest pet peeves”.
Amber explained that parents try to make their baby names “unique” by giving them “nonsensical” spellings.
Her biggest offenders are Jackson spelled like Jaxsyn, Tatum spelled like Taedum and Paisley as Paizleigh.
“‘Unique’ name spellings can get outta hand real quick IMO!” she said in a recent video.
“People … PLEASE stop spelling your child’s name in a nonsensical way.
“Your baby’s name doesn’t need that many x’s in it, I promise!”
She added that the ‘superior’ way of spelling Paisley is always without the ‘Z.’
Fellow mums were quick to agree, sharing their own thoughts in the comments.

One wrote: “I love unusual and uncommon names. But hate when names are spelled differently just for the sake of being unique.”
“Paizleigh? I pray that has never actually been used,” agreed another, while a third added, “Makes me want to hurl.”
