‘That dude will never live this down’: Hilarious detail in new mum’s selfie

The photo was supposed to capture the moment the mum had given birth, but instead she ended up documenting an unexpected turn of events.

A mum who snapped a selfie in the delivery room as she welcomed her baby into the world also captured the hilarious moment her husband passed out.

In the snap, the new mum gazes up at the camera beaming while still in the delivery suite with her hair in a cap.

Despite the mum experiencing the trauma of labour, it seems the miracle of childbirth was too much for the father.

In the background, the woman’s husband – wearing full scrubs – is lying flat out on the floor.

While it’s usually a new mum who is being treated by doctors, incredibly he’s being tended to by three members of staff.

And on closer inspection, the midwife who’s holding the newborn baby is even preoccupied with the fainting husband rather than the mum.

The post has since gone viral after it was uploaded to Instagram, and it’s racked up thousands of likes as people commented on the hilarious scene.

One person said: “Great encouragement and a great memory for years to come … enjoy.”

Another wrote: “That dude will never live this down.”

A third said: “Omg lmao poor guy had no idea what he was in for.”

This woman wrote: “Laughing silly. And that’s why we give childbirth, we’re stronger.”

And another commented: “Stop I can’t deal. Crying with laughter.”

‘YES, THAT IS A URINE SAMPLE’

The viral snap isn’t the only mum selfie to cause a stir on Instagram recently.

Last week, pregnant mother-of-two and model Nicole Trunfio shared a mirror selfie while at an appointment that had an unexpected detail.

The 33-year-old model looked chic in a “bump suit” and trench, but resting next to her Chanel handbag was a urine sample that she didn’t make any effort to hide.

“Wearing my @bumpsuit in #taupe to my OBGYN today (and yes, that is a urine sample),” she captioned the post.

Fans of the model, who is 36 weeks pregnant, didn’t bat an eyelid at the inclusion of the sample; however, there were plenty of comments about her fitted bodysuit.

‘Those pee samples! Ahhh I remember so well! You look beautiful mama,” supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley commented.

“You are so beautiful and amazing that you even make that urine sample look like a divine accessory,” another person wrote.
