A popular baby product sold at David Jones and other retailers has been recalled over a potential choking hazard.

A popular baby product sold at david Jones has been recalled over a potential choking hazard which could cause “severe injury or death”.

Product Safety Australia (PSA) issued the recall for Bloom and Grow’s Skip Hop Silver Lining Cloud Activity Gym on Saturday.

The activity gym includes multiple toys, including a cloud with small raindrops, which hang down above the baby.

The toy is being recalled after several incidents were reported where the toy’s raindrops have detached and infants have put them in their mouths.

“A detached raindrop may pose a choking or suffocation hazard for infants and young children, which can lead to severe injury or death,” PSA said.

Parents have been warned to “stop using the play gym immediately” and to remove the cloud toy.

The product was sold at various retailers, including David Jones, Toys ‘R’ Us and Amazon, between January 2020 and November 2022, with an identifying stock keeping unit (SKU) of SH307150.
