Mum trolled after giving her five kids’ ‘worst ever’ names
A mum has clapped back after being accused of setting her kids up to fail in life after giving all five of them very unique names.
A mum has hit back at cruel trolls who claim she’s set her kids up to fail in life with their “chavvy” names.
Mandy Violet Smith has five children, and chose unique monikers for all of them.
But when she shared the names she’d almost settled on for each of them online, she was attacked with nasty comments from rude trolls, The Sun reports.
“Names I nearly named my five babies vs. the names I actually chose,” she wrote over the TikTok slideshow.
She began by revealing she’d almost called her eldest son Tommy-Lee or Riley-Dean, before settling on Romeo.
Arguably the most controversial of the five names was for her second son, who she named Armani-Boy.
But before landing on the unusual moniker, she’d also thought of calling him Boy, Dris or Miles.
Mandy had a daughter next, and was thinking of calling her Mandy Violet after herself.
However, she eventually settled on the name Violet-Dollie.
She then had twin daughters, and had been considering the monikers Balencia, Mandy and Valentina.
But she ended up calling them Valencia and Venezuela.
The comments section was almost immediately filled with people slating Mandy for the name choices.
“These poor babies!” one raged.
“Never gonna be taken seriously with chav names like that! Set them right up to fail,” another claimed.
“These are the worst names I’ve ever seen,” insisted someone else.
Others mocked the mother, sharing ridiculous monikers they had almost given their kids, which almost certainly weren’t true but were just created to roast Mandy.
“I’ve named mine crushed velvet, marky b, Tenereife all inclusive, and french bulldog,” joked one.
“Named my youngest Toby Carvery,” someone else laughed, which for those outside of the UK is a popular pub chain famed for serving huge roast dinners.
“Looked at my little Home Bargains,” another cruelly teased.
But others were more complimentary about the names, with one writing: “Absolutely stunning name for little stunners!”
“I actually love them,” another added.
“Violet-Dollie’s name is so cute, your children your choice,” a third commented.
Mandy told The Sun she doesn’t let trolls’ rudeness get to her.
“All my babies’ are named after family members,” she said.
“I love different unique names.”
Mandy added that because she’s from the “Romany gypsy community”, the troll comments weren’t anything she “hasn’t heard before”.
“I laugh through their comments,” she said.
Several people in the comments section also pointed out that popular British boxer Tyson Fury and his wife Paris have daughters called Valencia and Venezuela.
But Mandy insisted she hadn’t made a conscious decision to name her kids after Paris’.
“As much as I love all Paris Fury’s baby names, mine were named after family members,” she said.
