‘I’m using a sperm donor to have kids, why risk involving a man’

A broken-hearted reality TV star has explained why she’s “not taking the chance” of having a child with a new partner.

Lala Kent is swearing off men — but not motherhood.

The Vanderpump Rules star revealed she’ll only use a sperm donor for her next baby, a process she anticipates beginning next year.

“I’m thinking around the summertime I’ll start trying to get pregnant,” Kent, 32, told co-star Scheana Shay on a recent podcast, explaining she would opt for intra-uterine insemination (IUI) as opposed to in vitro fertilisation (IVF).

During IUI, sperm is placed directly inside a woman’s uterus in the hope of creating an embryo. During IVF, an egg is extracted and fertilised in a laboratory to create an embryo that is then returned to a woman’s womb.

“So, because I’m pretty good to go, I could just do the insemination process,” Kent shared.

Though she admitted that a “partner could come into [her] life” at any time, she’s set on using a sperm donor.

“There’s such a high chance of it not working out, especially where we live,” the Los Angeles-based Bravolebrity explained to Shay, 37.

“I’m not taking the chance. Like, I am so scarred from all of this s**t that has happened in my life.

“I’m doing a sperm donor, period. I will not even attempt to try and do it a different way. I don’t want another person involved.”

Kent welcomed her first child, daughter Ocean, in March 2021. At the time, she was engaged to her baby’s father, Randall Emmett.

But seven months later, Kent dumped the movie producer, 51, on the heels of a cheating scandal that seems to have gotten the ball rolling on his very public demise.

“Randall always lives a double life,” a source alleged to Page Six last October. “He lives the life of a husband or boyfriend, and then he lives the life of a serial partier and then goes on a bender.”

Earlier this year, Kent claimed that Emmett became physical with her when she confronted him about the alleged infidelity that led to their split — accusations he staunchly denied.
