Author Constance Hall announces ‘baby number 7’ in candid post

AUTHOR Constance Hall has announced she will have ‘baby number 7’ saying she had ‘no idea how it slipped through’.

POPULAR Perth author Constance Hall has announced her family is expecting a fifth child on Facebook.

The mother announced the news in her typical candid style on Monday, saying she had “no idea how it slipped through”.

“The commune is welcoming another baby,” she wrote.

“We tried everything, on and off bouts of the pill (until it flared my colitis too much). Withdrawal. Morning after pills. We actually have no idea how this baby slipped through. But it did.”

“I think I’m about 8 weeks, haven’t been to a doctor or anything yet. We are not ready for this and I am petrified, babies terrify me.”

“But are we happy? Pigs in sh*t.”

Constance Hall has earned thousands of followers for her candid parenting blogs.

Hall said she “considered having an abortion this morning” because her partner Denim Cooke had “slept in”.

But she also said: “I love this mother f***er, with every inch of my bloated body, we are our kids biggest fans and we don’t see the harm in putting a new little soul right in the middle of it all.”

The baby, which she called “number 7” is due around June.

The child will be Hall’s fifth baby after she had four children with her estranged husband Bill Mahon. Her current partner, Cooke has two children bringing their total number of children to six.

Hall’s fans flooded her post with more than 4000 comments and 40,000 likes, sharing pictures of their own blended families and saying congratulations.

Others pointed out her abortion comment was in “poor taste” while also defending her candid style. Hall later shared a screenshot of some of the negative feedback she recieved, including being called “trash” and a “fertile sow” along with other comments too graphic to repeat.

The author of Like A Queen became engaged to Cooke in April after deciding to split with Mahon.

Earlier this month, she posted a picture of the pair in Bali on holiday with the caption that “Some Balinese guys just asked me if I’m pregnant.”

“I said no and he said “ahhhh too much Bintang for you” lol,” she wrote. At the time, Hall would have been around six weeks along.
