2mo baby nameless as parents are ‘stumped’ on what to call her
The couple welcomed their baby daughter in November last year — but still have no idea what to call her and have even turned to Instagram for help.
A couple in the US have revealed they are yet to settle on a name for their daughter — nearly three months after she was born.
Former ski racer Bode Miller and his wife Morgan, a professional volleyball player, welcomed a daughter on November 26.
But the pair are yet to name her, revealing in an Instagram question and answer session this week that they still hadn’t decided, People report.
“Have we named the baby?” Morgan asked Bode in the video response, to which he replied: “Yes.”
Appearing surprised, Morgan responded: “We have? What’s her name?”
Bode replied that her name was “Olivia”, prompting Morgan to interject that it wasn’t really their daughter’s name.
“No, I’m not letting you say that because we don’t know that,” she said. “How do you know that?”
“Because I just named her,” Bode said.
Bode told the US Today show back in January that they had been stuck on a name for their daughter because of her personality.
“It’s hard because her personality is different, and I think we’re all trying to get used to it,” he said.
“She’s stumped us on names so far.
“We have a lot that we like, but she hasn’t smiled or high-fived or anything when we say them to her, and we say them to her all the time.”
That same month the couple also called on their followers to help them pick out a name.
Morgan held a poll on Instagram asking her followers to vote on Scarlet or Skylar for her first name.
Her first middle name has been decided on as Olivia, with the couple also mulling over Khione or Gier as her second middle name.
For now the family have been calling the baby Ocho, Spanish for eight, as she is the couple’s eighth child.
But earlier this month Morgan also revealed the couple had been calling her Nono, a nickname for “no name”.
“It’s kind of sticking,” Morgan said on Instagram.
As well as their yet-to-be named daughter the Morgan and Bode are parents to two-year-old twin sons Asher and Askel, three-year-old Easton and six-year-old Nash.
Tragically their daughter Emeline drowned in 2018 at 19 months of age.
Bode also has two children, eight-year-old Nate and 13-year-old Dace, from a previously relationship.
