JUST weeks before giving birth, anorexic Holly Griffiths weighed little more than 50 kilograms and had ribs almost as protruding as her baby bump.

Yet despite struggling with her eating disorder throughout her pregnancy, she has given birth to a healthy 2.4 kilogram girl.

The baby, named Isla, was delivered naturally after Miss Griffiths was induced at 37 weeks. She said: "I was terrified throughout the pregnancy that my body wouldn't be able to cope. I'm so thankful she was born healthy and she is doing really well."

Miss Griffiths, who also has a two-year-old son, Dylan, has struggled with eating problems since she was eight and was diagnosed with anorexia at 13. While pregnant with Isla, severe morning sickness caused the 21-year-old, from Greenwich, south London, to lose 8 kilograms. At 5ft 7in, she weighed only 52 kilograms when she was induced at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich.

Miss Griffiths, who is engaged to gym manager Harrison Bogbanovas, 24, has already seen her weight drop to 46 kilograms since giving birth on July 23 and said: "I'm desperate to recover so I can teach my kids a healthy way to approach food."
