‘Not fair to your partner’: Mum trolled for body change after kids

It’s a universal truth that people’s bodies change as they age, as they have children, as they go through major life events.
We should all know that bodies get bigger and smaller and that all bodies are ok, but apparently some people didn’t get the memo.
When Jill posted a TikTok comparing her body as a teenager to her body after two kids, the comments were brutal.

The video shows a woman at two stages at her life. In the first she’s got blonde curly hair and the body shape of a 14-year-0ld.
“The girl he thought he’d be with forever,” read the caption.
In the second photo, Jill sports her dark hair in a messy mum bun, and her body has changed.
“Seven years and two kids later,” read the second caption.

Mum posts viral before and after video to TikTok
The video has gone viral, with commenters saying the US mum looks like “two different people”.
Jill said that her partner, whom she started dating when they were both 14, loves her at any size.
The mum-of-two regularly posts videos to TikTok, sharing her weight loss journey and all the emotions that go with it. According to Jill, she’s lost 23 kilograms since July 2022.
She also shares videos of her partner, showing followers their loving, healthy relationship, but that doesn't stop trolls from commenting on her body.

“That’s a breach of contract if I ever saw one,” read one comment.
One person called her partner a “poor guy”.
Another person blamed women’s weight for divorce rates.
“Many times these women get divorced, grow old and die alone because they couldn’t maintain their fitness,” they said.

But not everyone had cruel comments. One woman posted in solidarity, saying her partner was as loving and supportive as Jill’s.
