Nicole Kidman to relive ‘days of thunder’ at Grand Prix but with husband Keith Urban by her side
NICOLE KIDMAN has hit Australian shores, and we know where you’ll find her over the weekend.
HER Days of Thunder days may be well behind her but Nicole Kidman and husband Keith Urban are jetting home to relive her grid days tomorrow, appearing trackside at the Formula One Grand Prix in Melbourne.
Kidman is the star attraction at the VIP party on Saturday night which will take place after she has toured the Scuderia Ferrari pits to check out the real engine rooms of Formula One.
After that the pair will come back to their hotel digs and rev up for a rooftop party at the quirky QT hotel in Melbourne.
This is what else was going on with the celebrities in Melbourne and Sydney this week.
HOUSEWIVES V. HOUSEWIVES:
Never one to be shy and retiring is former ‘housewife’ of Melbourne, businesswoman and interiors guru Chyka Keebaugh, who didn’t hold back when asked about her thoughts on the Real Housewives of Sydney.
“Wow, who are these woman?”, she said when we connected in Melbourne during the week.
“Wow, With all their goings-on and they way they talk to each other, they make us look like St Trinians.” Yep. Anyone watching and following the RHOS couldn’t help but agree about that.
FIFI’S A BUSY BEAVER:
Burning the candle at all ends is what Fifi Box does so well. When it comes to work, she is totally committed and competent.
But not content with being a brekkie radio co-host on FoxfM in Melbourne, the vivacious and clever chick has been spending time on Ramsey Street, shooting Neighbours most days; appearing on The Project, where production usually starts at midday each day and records Boxed-In, nationally for radio.
Oh, and not fiorgetting her greatest triumph: being mumo her gorgeous, nearly four-year-old, Trixie Belle Box.
“I’m constantly stuffed but when I see that little face of Trixie’s at every moment I can, I wouldn’t have it any other way,” she told me in as she took some time out in Melbourne during the week.
MODEL BROTHERS LOVE THEIR SPORT:
The Stenmark twins are two of the most genuine and well-mannered young men you
could meet. And having been caught up in a Stenmark Sandwich a number of times (ok, it’s a term given to the photo/Insta opp some get when they slide themselves into the middle of both Zach and Jordan) there could be a lot worse sambos to be a part of.
The pair were holding court at a very smart party for fashion label Fendi in Sydney during the week, and let slip they were working on a ‘top secret’ project. After much sniffing around, seems the boys sporting prowess is getting the better of them and a stab at an entry into the Commonwealth Games could be on the cards. Watch this space.
DESIGNER DION LEE TO OPEN FASHION WEEK:
Vogue Australia editor-in-chief Edwina McCann hasn’t stopped this week with announcing hot-as-hell designer Dion Lee as the designer who will be opening the annual frock fest that is Mercedes Benz Australian Fashion Week, in May.
Edwina joined Melbourne names — and a swag of seriously gorgeous WAGs at a very swish ‘ladies lunch’ in the VIP Lounge at Albert Park, in Melbourne to celebrate the Festival of the Grid. The arvo was also a way for the Melbourne social set to shine: boy, they’re a well-dressed bunch.
DOUBLE CELEBRATION FOR TV FACE:
Media personality and mum Sophie Falkiner celebrated her birthday this week. Hip, hip hooray and all that to one of the good chicks around. But her relaxed and beautiful celebration was combined with an all-female ‘divorce drinks ’ theme too.
Sophie’s official divorce from radio marketing name Tony Thomas had come through during the week, so she decided to celebrate two milestones at once. Around 30 female pals gathered at the Dolphin Hotel to wish her happiness.
