I always wait until the very last-minute to pick up the kids from school

When Sarah explains in her viral footage why she does a frantic daily dash to school - some mums can relate... while others just don't get it.

Sometimes the politics in the schoolyard between mums is more brutal than among the kids themselves.

There are the super-social parents who are mad for the after-school banter – while others would rather run a mile.

Sarah is the type that would rather run a marathon (which judging by her daily activities posted on TikTok – she doesn’t normally do!) than gossip with the other mums.

Prolific on her page for sharing tongue-in-cheek videos about her daily goings-on as a mum, Sarah posted footage of herself racing out the door in a frenzy.

"Mums rushing to the school playground early to chit chat to each other before pick up…" she wrote over the top of the frantic scene.

However, the pace changed somewhat when it cuts to her sitting in the car, wearing sunglasses and very happily devouring a chocolate bar, adding: "Me hiding in my car until the last second so I don’t have to talk to anyone."

The comedic mum then goes on to explain while how it may be some mums favourite part of the day – for her it’s like a daily living hell.

"School playground chit chat isn’t for me - I like to grab and go,” she admitted before asking if anyone else feels that way too.

"Please tell me I’m not the only one?" she begged.

"I sneak onto the school playground and stand in the far back"

Sarah was relieved to know that school pick-up anxiety was a very real thing among many mums.

"I sneak onto the playground and stand in the far back pretending to be part of the fence,” one confessed.

"The school playground mums hate me and the feeling is mutual haha," another laughed in agreeance.

"I watch groups of mum be at school half an hour early and I just don’t get it," a parent said, quite perplexed as to why anyone would opt to do such a thing.

"Hahahahha this has made me feel so much better… I do this every day - my daughter is always the last in." another revealed.

While some saw their live as much more tranquil by choosing to not be part of the inner school mums circle.

"That’s me, can deal without the dramas, I value my peace and quiet when I can grab it," one firmly insisted.

"I enjoy  talking to other mums at school pick-up"

However, not everyone felt the same dread as they arrived at the school gates each day.

"I’m there slightly early cause it’s the only adult conversation I get," one shared.

"I feel isolated sometimes and the school run makes me feel better."

Then there are those who are so early they may as well pitch a tent the night before.

"Not me, at school an hour early every day," a mum proudly declared.

If everyone had this mum’s motto – this article wouldn’t need to be written.

"Worry about yourself and don’t judge others negatively is the option most people need to take. Be POSITIVE.”
