Well, if you're male, you're more likely to leave your Christmas shopping to the last minute - in fact, a Stockland shopping centre survey has found that 54 per cent of men do the last minute dash, compared to only 36 per cent of women. These Last Minute Larries are usually well intentioned with their gifts, but Christmastime can be a pretty frantic experience!
More than a quarter of Australians are Master Shoppers, preparing for Christmas well in advance. These people often organise themselves so that their Christmas shopping is completed before December even rolls around.
For one in five Aussies, Christmas shopping is actually all about the food. 22 per cent of these Super Chefs spend their cash on Christmas treats like ham, champagne and cherries, and for an additional seven per cent, hosting people for dinner is their deepest delight.

The survey also found that there is a clear gender divide when it comes to gift giving, with men feeling pressure to spend more on their partners than women.
However, when it comes to parents, women are prepared to spend $40 more on the people who raised them than men are.
Even the family pet gets a look-in, with Aussies planning to buy their furry friends at least one present.
