Stolen four-week-old puppies found safe by police
The last two missing puppies were found by police on Tuesday after the litter of five was stolen from their yard.
Five-month-old puppies have been safely returned to their home in Queensland’s northwest after a terrifying ordeal.
About 4pm on Monday, the litter’s owner discovered the shepherd/husky pups had been taken from the yard of their Mount Isa home, subsequently alerting police.
Their investigation led them to homes in the suburb of Pioneer, just 1.5km from the puppies’ Townview home.
Two of the missing puppies were found in Pioneer, while a third was discovered in Happy Valley.

All three were returned safely to their owner by 8.30pm the same evening, while two were still missing.
The following day, police tracked down the remaining pups at a home in Townview, returning them to their family.
Police said two juveniles were now assisting with the investigation and thanked the Mount Isa community for their help in finding the five pups.
