Resident slams dog owners for leaving poo in empty wheelie bins
A Sydney resident has taped a note to bags of dog poo, begging pet owners to stop this one “inconsiderate” act – but not everyone agrees.
An angry resident has lashed out at dog walkers after discovering someone had dumped dog poo in an empty bin.
The Sydney resident begged dog walkers to stop the “inconsiderate” act with a letter taped to discarded bags of dog poo. But the note has now sparked debate online.
A photo of the note was shared with Yahoo News Australia.
“Dog owners,” the note began. “Please do not put dog poo in residents’ empty bins.

“It is very inconsiderate and who wants a bin smelling of dog sh*t?
“Put it elsewhere.”
There were multiple poo-filled bags on the ground with the note attached to it.
But on social media, the note sparked a heated debate among dog owners.
Some said they would rather it was put in an empty bin than left on the pavement.
And others argued that a bin was fair game and urged the note writer to get on with things.
But many pet owners said they would never do that and part of owning a dog was responsibly disposing of any waste the animal produces.
It’s not the first time carelessly discarded dog poo has caused homeowners grief.
In March, a New Zealand woman kept finding dog poo scattered along her driveway so she set up a camera to catch the culprit.
In a TikTok she made about the incident, the woman revealed the footage showed her neighbour dumping piles of poo on her driveway.
It appeared the neighbour was finding poo on her lawn and had assumed it belonged to the woman’s dogs.
But the woman said she knew the poo didn’t belong to any of her dogs as she knows what she feeds them, adding there are many other dogs in the neighbourhood that it could have belonged to.
