Doug the Pug’s kindness video | Nashville dog hands out notes to inspire kindness

SOMETIMES it takes a few kind words from a pug to make your day and that is exactly what Doug the Pug has done for complete strangers.

DOUG the Pug has been a social media star for some time now, with 55K Instagram followers but it’s his new video that will get you talking.

Doug has taken to the streets, and visited a homeless shelter and a fire station in Nashville, to hand out of kindness and encouragement.

His owner Leslie Mosier said the video was a way of giving back to the community for embracing Doug. There are plans for Doug to make a habit of spreading kind words.

“I would love to do another video with more letters, but this time visiting a children’s hospital, school, and police station,” Mosier told news.com.au.

“The experience was incredibly emotional and it truly felt amazing to make people happy, so I will definitely do it again.”

She said she had hoped to inspire people to do little acts of kindness that ultimately go a long way.

“Something as simple as paying for someone’s coffee that’s behind you in line or leaving an encouraging note on a desk in the public library. Spreading kindness is contagious.”
