Adelaide’s cold weather forces many to rug up, including cat called Milk, a star attraction at a Felixstow pet cafe
THIS cat named Milk — one of the star attractions at Felixstow pet cafe Hashtag Meow — is not alone in being forced to rug up to ward off Adelaide’s winter chill.
SHE’S the cat in a hat warming the hearts of Adelaide animal lovers visiting a special eatery this winter.
And given her very short-hair, the Devon Rex named Milk — one of the star attractions at Felixstow pet cafe Hashtag Meow — was happy to rug up in a scarf and hat to ward off the winter chill.
The cafe’s human visitors also have had to follow suit, after a series of near freezing minimum temperatures this month. Adelaide’s coldest so far was a minimum of just 1.7C last Sunday.
Bureau of Meteorology senior forecaster Mark Anolak said the cold nights and mornings — a result of a high pressure system — were here to stay — for now.
“Through the long weekend and even to the middle part of this week we are still dominated by this high-pressure system. It probably won’t be until Thursday or Friday that we start to get some warmer overnight temperatures,” he said.
