Neighbourhood row over whether Bentley is a small car in Mosman
A neighbourhood war has erupted in an elite Sydney suburb after a single picture was posted on a local Facebook group.
A neighbourhood war has erupted in an elite Sydney suburb over whether a Bentley is considered a small car after it was parked in a designated bay.
The debate was sparked by a social media post on the community Facebook page Mosman Living which showed a Bentley parked in small car space with the caption: “Amazing what a small car is in Mosman these days.”
Bentley is one of the most esteemed luxury car brands in the world.
The company, founded in the United Kingdom, is synonymous with prestige with the average new car costing a cool $300,000.
Social media users were quick to mock the Facebook post.
“Mosman has such first world problems,” one person wrote in response.
“Wow what’s their big car,” a second joked.
“A typical Mosman issue,” a third wrote.
Others chastised the driver for their abysmal parking skills with the vehicle marginally outside the white lines.
“Close to the line on the right … when he opens his door or the person on the left opens their door there will be damage,” one person predicted.
Another described it as a “bit of a wild parking job” but admitted “it fits”.
Others saw the post as petty.
“Did an extra 10 steps upset you that much you felt the need to cry about it on Facebook? “,” one commented.
“Have a cup of cement buddy,” a second urged.
“Apart from indicating your jealousy the car fits so what?” a third asked.
