When it comes to household cleaning jobs, tackling the oven door often falls to the bottom of the heap.

Burnt-on grease and grime can be hard to remove; however, thanks to a savvy trick shared by a UK-based mum, this needn’t be the case.

Taking to a Facebook cleaning group, the mother-of-five shared a series of photos showing her appliance before and after it was cleaned using a product that costs just $11 a tub.

“I am totally ashamed of how bad my cooker got … I have five kids! Three babies under the age of three,” she captioned her post.

“Work full-time, by the time I get home, cook tea, do packed lunches – I never wiped my oven door over.”

She explained she restored her oven by using an inexpensive scourer sponge and applying a generous amount of the paste onto the front and back doors.

After leaving for a few minutes, she then wiped the surfaces down and was delighted by how well the paste cleaned her formerly filthy doors.

Another added: “Pink Stuff is incredible – especially for the price.”

A third chimed in: “Wow – I need some of this pink stuff in my life.”

While the budget cleaning paste is widely available in the UK, Australian shoppers can also buy the product online. It is available via Hoopersstore.com.au.

According to Star Brands, the company behind The Pink Stuff, the cleaner is a “hardworking, cream cleaner designed to help you remove stains from around the home while being gentle on surfaces.”

The acidic cream cleaner can be used on ceramic, tiles, windows and on barbecues.
