This ‘easy’ hack to fold fitted sheets has people confused

Folding a fitted sheet is meant to be “easy” according to this Queensland woman. But her viral “hack” has left people feeling confused.

Woman's six-step sheet folding hack goes viral

Hands up if your linen cupboard is filled with sad, screwed up balls of bed linen, desperately in need of some love and attention.

Don’t worry, you’re not alone. It’s pretty much accepted the world over that when it comes to manchester — particularly tricky fitted sheets — it is almost impossible to fold.

Instead we resign ourselves to a life of unruly cupboards, accepting our fate of having to look at a messy space every time we open the door.

Well, that was until we stumbled across this pretty impressive fitted sheet “hack” a Queensland woman has shared.

Brace yourselves people, as this is going to be a game changer.

Kris, who works for Adairs at Pacific Fair shopping centre on the Gold Coast, says the trick is nailing a six step technique that will transform your unruly cupboards.

The helpful homewares employee starts by placing her hands in the corners of opposite sides of the sheet, then laying it on the bed.

After she places her fingers in the outside of the other corners and turns them inside out before folding those corners inside the first.

If you’re still with Kris by this point, you’re doing better than me, but she says the next stage is to gather the ends of the elastic corners, and place them against each other, corner to corner.

It’s then time to “give it a good shake” to remove any kinks that may have formed.

Finally, you need to fold what you’ve got into a rectangle before rolling it into a “nice square”.

“Now you know how to fold a fitted sheet there are no excuses,” she adds, smiling into the camera.

And while it may sound a bit complicated, she makes it look pretty easy in the minute-long video that has gone viral.

After demonstrating how it’s done, she declared everyone now knows how to fold a sheet properly. Picture: Facebook/Adairs/PacificFair

While Kris takes no prisoners when it comes to poorly folded sheets, it seems not everyone found her “hack” easy to do at home.

“Just tried it... went back to the traditional method. Screwed it into a ball and threw it in the linen cupboard,” one wrote on Facebook.

“Friggin easier for me to roll up in a ball,” a second declared.

“This is painful to watch, gave up halfway through .. I doubt I’m folding my sheet like it,” another stated.

“Way easier to scrunch up and put in the closest and shut the door quickly,” a fourth scoffed.

Despite the fact many are struggling, others loved the handy tips, declared it a “total game changer”.

“This is mind blowing,” one wrote.

Since the clip was posted at the start of June it has attracted thousands of comments and over 3500 shares.
