It can be one of the hardest things in the house to clean, but one mum has shared how she transformed her kitchen tiles.

Using just over $30 worth of Bunnings products TikTok user @_doolz removed built up dirt on her tiles – even admitting she was grossed out by how much grime came off.

In a video that’s been viewed more than 237,000 times, the woman said she got to work after her child went to bed.

“Toddler is finally in bed. What does Mumma’s ‘me’ time look like? Grout cleaning of course,” she said.

She used $10 Long Life Grout Cleaner and a $22.95 electric brush, picking up both from the hardware store.

She sprayed the cleaning product in the grout section of her tiles and left it to soak, watching in shock as dirt began rising up from the grout.

“Ew, so satisfying though,” the mum said, using the electric brush to clean away the dirt that the spray had unearthed.

She shared a before and after comparison of the tiles – with the grout on the ones she had cleaned spotless white, while the section she had yet to do still had dark black grout.

“Look at that difference, so much work for my toddler to destroy it,” she joked.

Her video attracted dozens of comments from people amazed at how much difference the grout cleaner had made.

“I was like it did nothing … until I watched rest of the video,” one person said.

“I need this,” another wrote.

“Looks like I’m going to Bunnings,” one person commented.

Others offered their recommendations for keeping tile grout clean, which included using a protector spray and a broom so her back didn’t get sore from bending over.

“Don’t forget to add a sealer on the grout after cleaning – it will make it last longer and it will be easier to clean next time,” one person helpfully commented.

It’s not the first time this Bunnings grout spray has gone viral with a motel owner last year revealing she had removed decades of built-up grime on bathroom tiles using the “miracle spray”.

Posting in the Bunnings Mums, Inspiration, Hacks, Tips and Tricks Facebook page the woman said she had been “amazed” by the before and after results.

“Yes it’s potent so wear a mask but it eats through the 50-year-old grime in our motel rooms,” adding that she is “currently scrubbing with ease”.

Others shared in the Mums Who Clean Facebook group that they had used the grout spray in their homes and been shocked to discover how “filthy” their tiles were.

“This was done in minimal time and with minimal effort,” one woman who shared before and after pictures wrote.
