Huge discounts on Dyson vacuums as Aldi, Big W slash prices
Hundreds of dollars to be saved on hugely-discounted Dyson vacuum cleaners as Aldi and Big W slash prices before Christmas.
Hundreds of dollars can be saved on hugely-discounted Dyson vacuum cleaners Saturday as Aldi and Big W slash the price of the V7 stick model to $399.
Dyson vacuum cleaners, which have become something of a cult product, normally sell at high-ticket prices.
The Dyson V7 Motorhead Origin cordless vacuum — currently selling at most outlets for $599 — has been discounted at Aldi alongside the Dyson Big Ball Extra Vacuum, also cut to $399.
Part of Aldi’s regular Special Buys range offers, the two Dyson models are expected to sell out at stores across the country today, having been flagged in its catalogue in early December.
One fan posted on Instagram, writing: “Now this will be an #elbowsout kind of event.”
Big W more recently decided to match the discounted $399 price on its stock of V7s, however keeping its Big Ball Dysons at $549.
Catalogues of Aldi’s Special Buys sales which go live every Wednesday and Saturday are known to excite shoppers.
But a sale of the high-performance Dysons, which score glowing reviews online by house owners who swear by the light weight, battery rechargeable devices, caused delighted surprise.
The V7, featuring “powerful suction” and up to 30 minutes of suction per battery charge, is not Dyson’s latest stick vacuum, but it still receives rave reviews online.
On Product Reviews, the item has 156 five-star reviews, with people calling it a “great vacuum”.
“Love this new stick vacuum. Don’t know how I cleaned without it,” one user wrote.
“Great suction and love the motor head. Having two dogs they leave a lot of hair around. This vacuum picks it up really well and is great to use on stairs.”
Another described it as: “the best vacuum I have ever had. We got it before we got our puppy so we didn’t get that one for the animal fur but it still works great.
“It’s amazing to see how much dust and hair gets collected only after couple minutes of vacuuming.”
The Dyson range of dual cyclone bagless vacuum cleaners, created by British industrial designer Sir James Dyson, now goes up to the V11 Absolute Pro.
Priced at around $1200, it is described as having “unbelievable power”.
Aldi first caused a Dyson frenzy when it teamed up with the manufacturer for Christmas 2017.
