Frenzy for KitchenAid collaboration with Australian brand Alemais
A rare collaboration between a cult kitchen brand and an Australian designer has sent shoppers into a spin for the limited edition item.
Cult cookware brand KitchenAid has collaborated with an iconic Australian fashion designer to create a limited edition range that is so popular, the waitlist is huge.
Lesleigh Jermanus and her brand Alemais have redesigned the brand’s iconic Stand Mixer, giving it a new look that is synonymous with the fashion designer’s style.
The chic gadget, which is priced at $1299, features a “Mineral Water blue” device paired with a ceramic bowl in a showstopping Alemais-designed print.
There’s also a KitchenAid x Alemais tablecloth in the exclusive collaboration.
Alemais’ design team drew heavy inspiration from the iconic phrase “home is where the heart is” to bring the elevated kitchenware to life.
“Like many of us, the kitchen is seen as the heart of any home; the place where family, friends come together. Filled with joy, laughter and of course food. These are the elements we celebrate and cherish most in life,” the Aussie brand said in a statement.
Meanwhile KitchenAid, which celebrated 100 years in business in 2019, described the partnership as a “world first”, adding: “It’s a work of art that finds its place at the heart of your home.”
Social media users have been quick to praise the “stunning” design, as shoppers clambered to get their hands on the benchtop device, with over 5000 signing up to buy the item online.
“Omg omg omg,” one wrote.
“This is gorgeous,” another agreed.
