Black Friday: Best deals in homewares
There are discounts across Dysons, mattresses, outdoor furniture and toys, including this in-demand kitchen gadget — but get in quick.
It’s the last week of November so you know what that means – Black Friday is finally here.
The discount shopping day that started in the US, is held on the last Friday of November — the day after Thanksgiving in North America.
But like Keeping Up With The Kardashians, there’s no escaping Black Friday, with most Australian retailers now on board for the big day.
The discount shopping event is the perfect time to pick up a bargain present for Christmas – and we’ve rounded up some of the best buys in homewares.

MYER
Myer has kicked off Black Friday already, with a range of early bird deals on offer.
These include 15 per cent of Dyson products, 40 per cent off a range of quilts and covers from brands like Sheridan and 25 per cent off KitchenAid appliances.
Our pick is the KitchenAid Stand Mixer in a Pinterest-worthy Candy Apple that has been slashed in price from $899 to $674.25. There is also a special deal on Dunlopillo’s Luxurious Latex High Profile Pillow
HARVEY NORMAN
For Black Friday only, Harvey Norman is offering up to 60 per cent off rugs and there’s also up to 25 per off Timberline bathroom furniture.
The homewares and whitegoods store also has a Riverland 9 piece timber dining suite reduced to $2999 and Haier 7.5kg Front load washing machines for $395.
If you’re planning a bedroom makeover, there is a Macey fabric double or queen bed for $199 and a mattress upgrade deal with a king size for $1 dollar extra.
DAVID JONES
David Jones has a range of deals across homewares, furniture and appliances and there’s up to 50 per cent off selected appliances from Breville, DeLonghi, KitchenAid, Philips and Tefal.
The best deal are a whopping 70 per cent off Circulon Symmetry frying pan triple pack which was $429.95 and is now just $119.
TARGET
Target has more than 300 Black Friday deals on offer but the best bargains are in toys – just in time for Christmas.
The department store has 20 per cent off toys from a range of brands including Toy Story 4, LOL Surprise!, Barbie and Lego City and Friends.
BIG W
Big W has hundreds of Black Friday discounts but the best have to be (again) on toys with 20 per cent taken off items from Paw Patrol, Star Wars, Frozen 2 and The Wiggles.
Other discounts include a $149 SodaStream One Touch Soda Maker reduced to $99 and the Dyson V7 Origin down from $599 to just $349.
KMART
Kmart’s Black Friday sale will run from Friday until Sunday, with a range of products available exclusive to the sale.
The best deals are for an egg chair for $179 and a portable gas barbecue for $99.
ALDI
Aldi is starting their Black Friday sale early with scores of deals on kitchen appliances, electronics and toys.
As part of Wednesday’s Special Buys the discount supermarket chain is selling a DeLonghi toaster for $79.99 and an espresso machine for $99.99.
Another great deal is this $299 outdoor modular lounge – perfect for outdoor entertaining.
The deals continues with Saturday’s Special Buys, with an air fryer on sale for just $69.99 and an eight kilo front loading washing machine for $399.
EBAY
eBay have reduced a range of items by at least 20 per cent for Black Friday.
The best deals include a double bed mattress slashed by 70 per cent from $839.95 to just $249, 20 per cent off all Lego sets and a Healthy Choice 3.5L Airfryerdown from $89 to $39.
AMAZON
US online giant are famous for their Black Friday sale and this year doesn’t disappoint. The best deals include 50 per cent off select Thermos products and up to 30 per cent off select Sheridan towels.
FREEDOM
The homewares and furniture store has more than a thousand offers for Black Friday, with items marked down by up to 50 per cent.
Items start at just $1, with mugs to couches to mattresses all included in the sale.
IKEA
Swedish homewares giant Ikea are getting in on the Black Friday bonanza too, with a range of discounted items.
