Aussie woman’s bathroom snap sparks heated debate

A woman shared a photo of her bathroom makeover online, however many were left baffled by a particular feature on the wall.

A woman has sparked a heated debate online after users spotted an unlikely detail in her bathroom snap.

The homeowner shared a photo of her toilet area to the popular Facebook group — Cleaning & Organising Inspiration Australia — after giving it a fresh, new look.

“Finally found the perfect art piece for the empty space above our toilet! Waiting your opinions!” she captioned the image.

It featured a framed image of a dog and a shelf with several, different ornaments.

However, it was the woman’s cup full of toothbrushes above the toilet that attracted the most reaction.

“Ewwwww, the open toothbrush literally right next to your toilet,” one user wrote.

“Toothbrushes above the toilet. Poo flakes, wee and fart flakes and the toilet water flushings. Yuk!” a second person commented.

“Oh no. Please don’t tell me the toothbrush is for your mouth, it’s the only thing I see here,” said a third, while a fourth added: “Thought it was cute till I saw the toothbrushes”.

But others came to the woman’s defence, saying there was nothing wrong with her positioning of the toothbrushes.

“My toilet is next to my sink. Been here 18/19 yrs. Toothbrush and toothpaste in a jar on the sink. Still not dead,” a Facebook user commented.

Another insisted she had nothing to worry about.

“There is a Myth Busters episode that proved it doesn’t matter where you stick your toothbrush in the entire house (yes, entire house), it is covered in an equal amount of faecal matter because that’s how much poo poo is floating around your house,” one said.

“Go stick it in a sealed box in the garage and you’re still brushing with poo poo,” another commented.

Others weren’t phased by the placement of the toothbrushes and commended the homeowner‘s creativity.

“Love the photo it’s perfect,” one woman wrote about the framed poodle image.

“Love it. I’d just move the gold one to face the other way on the other side of the shelf,” said another.
