ASOS launches homewares collection from just $12
Step aside, Kmart, there’s a new player in town. Online retailer ASOS has launched it’s own homewares collection, and it’s pretty amazing.
One of the internet’s coolest fashion retailers is expanding its reign over our lives, creeping out of our wardrobes and into the rest of our homes.
ASOS has launched a new homewares line this week called ASOS SUPPLY and, friends, it’s too good to be true.
Featuring kitchen accessories, bedroom linen, and bathroom pieces made from recycled material, the range adopts three key themes: Global Traveller, Cool Minimal and Eclectic Luxe.
It’s as if ASOS executives locked a Scandinavian designer inside a room with the lead buyers for Ikea, Pottery Barn, Anthropologie and Gorman … then they all had cocktails at Kmart after they let them out.
A spokeswoman for ASOS said the line’s aesthetic is both minimalist and popping with colour, so there’s “something for everyone”.
ASOS SUPPLY was launched this week, with pieces starting from just $12.
“This living collection includes clever storage ideas, recycled glassware, modern kitchen and bathroom accessories and cosy throws,” the spokeswoman said.
“All you need to make the most of your space.”
Well, I’m sold already, so, allow me to escort you through the pastel wonderland that will be my home, as soon as payday arrives.
KITCHEN
Where every house tour should begin.
This is where I kitted out my imaginary kitchen in bold splashes of colour and hosted a fabulous dinner party for Frida Kahlo and Freddie Mercury.
Look, this is my fantasy, so just play along.
We ate ruby red grapefruit and Freddie accidentally drank an entire bottle of vodka.
Oh how we laughed, it was all just so fabulous.
DINING ROOM
Here’s my dining room, where only the most bohemian intellectuals gather to eat share plates and discuss philosophy.
I used these serving spoons to dish out an arugula salad, tossed with cranberries which I made myself.
Then I served my guests gluten free pie and cake on these dishes.
It happened, I swear.
My plants may be fake, but they look really great in their little woven baskets, and everything is neatly arranged in woven storage units because I’m an adult now.
BATHROOM
Check out my sweet bathroom, where David Bowie once had a play date with a unicorn!
The wicked pastel pink woven basket set me back $32. Oh, yeah, so did that pompom bath mat.
Here are all my rose tinted accessories, where I keep my very expensive face scrubbers and jade face rollers.
That’s just the life I live, I guess.
BEDROOM
Where the magic happens.
Only the most #blessed may entire this space, where big old eyeballs watch you and there’s no washing on the floor.
That’s because it’s all folded neatly in ASOS baskets.
Well, anyway, that’s my place. Thanks for coming around.
What, jealous?
Don’t let the trunk hit you on the way out, mate.
