The owner of a porn production company has given employees a “relaxing” 30-minute daily break – a move that’s been widely applauded.

A female porn director has been praised for giving her employees a “special work perk” – and she’s encouraging other bosses to follow suit.

Erika Lust first introduced 30-minute masturbation breaks for her 36 staffers last year after claiming she’d noticed her employees had become “agitated” during lockdown.

Her commitment to offering members of the Erika Lust Films team time to unwind even saw her install a “masturbation station” at the office in Barcelona.

Now she’s given the self-care offering a “revamp” – giving staff free sex toys to help them get off during their working day.

“Remember I started to give my staff a daily 30-minute masturbation break last May?” she wrote on Instagram on May 23.

“This year, we’ve decided to revamp our special work perk with the help of my friends from @funfactory and their cheeky toys.”

She then called on other employers to “join” the movement, which coincided with annual international awareness event “masturbation month”.

Her post has since gone on to gain traction online, with many praising Erika for introducing a wellness benefit which she believes has seen an increase in productivity and “less aggression” in the workplace.

“I wish my job had that,” one user commented, as another declared: “I wanna work for you.”

Erika hopes her self-love initiative will help “normalise” masturbation and relieve stress in the workplace.

“I value my employees and I know that when they feel good, we do good work,” she said in May last year.

“With the pandemic and the huge shift in how we live our lives, I began to notice that my employees had become somewhat agitated and were performing with less energy than before.

“So, knowing that there’s only one thing that will make everyone feel good, I’ve set up a private masturbation station for them to enjoy.”

After hitting the headlines last year, Erika has gone on to appear in a short documentary, Masturbation Conversations, which sees contributors asked important questions, including “How do you masturbate?” and “Why do you masturbate?”

“Masturbating can have many benefits, yet for some reason just saying the word out loud makes some people feel funny, or even embarrassed,” she wrote on social media recently alongside a video of her appearance in the doco.
“The truth is masturbation can help people manage stress, regulate their sleep, and connect with their body and sexual desires, among other advantages. ”

According to 2014 data from the Australian Study of Health and Relationships, conducted once a decade, 72 per cent of men and 42 per cent of women openly admit to masturbating.

Some of the known sexual health benefits of masturbation include promoting better sleep, a release of “feel good” endorphins and reduction in stress, Better Health reports.

It can also enhance self-esteem and body image and is a “safer form of sex”.
