What languages sound like to foreigners: YouTube video by Sara ‘smoukahontas’

EVER wondered what you sound like to foreigners? This 19-year-old Finnish woman has created a hilarious video where she speaks gibberish in various accents to demonstrate what it’s like.

Sara.
Sara.

EVER wondered what your accent sounds like to people from other countries?

Well, 19-year-old Finnish YouTube sensation Sara has solved the mystery.

She’s filmed herself speaking gibberish in various accents to demonstrate how people speaking foreign languages sound to those who don’t speak the same tongue.

“I’m not trying to speak any languages in this video,” she wrote on her YouTube channel.

“My point is only to bring out what the languages sound like to me ... Utter gibberish. So please bare with the failing languages!”

The video was uploaded on Monday and already has almost 7 million hits on YouTube.

We think Sara (who doesn’t wish her last name to be made public) totally nails the accents, which include Japanese, British cockney, American, French, Italian and Spanish.
