CRONULLA
HEART & SOUL CAFÉ
Operated by Govinda Valley Retreat, a not-for-profit haven south of Sydney, the vegan and vegetarian menu is inspired by the spiritual philosophy of Krishna Consciousness.
The menu varies from on-trend items like smashed avocado on toast and chia pudding to a popular vegan lunch buffet.
Drinks also embrace the cafe’s ethos and include organic coffee, a variety of homemade chais, hot turmeric and ginger, herbal teas, juices and differenttypes of kombucha.

SURRY HILLS
YULLI’S
This funky eatery is a genius combo of meat-free eating and cool bar. It’s a great place to share plates and go-to dishes include the wild seasonal mushrooms with truffle oil, salt and pepper tofu and the tasty edamame and coconut money bags. You can wash it all down with a glass of biodynamic wine.

MOSMAN
THE PENNY ROYAL
This hip eatery in the middle of bustling Mosman perfectly balances cool with comfortable. It has the hipsters covered and the mums and bubs well taken care of. Everything is fresh and full of flavour but there are two standouts: the muesli trio, which is healthy heaven on a plate, and the divine dukka eggs with house-made beetroot hummus, labneh and avocado. The coffee is also a drawcard — it’s good, really good.

PITT TOWN
THE VINTAGE PANTRY
The Parisian décor with a sprinkle of country charm is perfectly fitted to the semi-rural location of Pitt Town, with elegant wingback chairs sitting alongside exposed brick and shabby chic wood panels.
The menu has some Middle Eastern touches with the popular mezza board boasting two servings of scrambled eggs, grilled haloumi and eggplant, avocado, labneh, olives and more, served with Turkish bread. Light meals are on offer, as well as an all-day breakfast menu and salads.

Ungaro is a friendly cafe that’s dedicated to serving food in its least processed form. There’s nothing too way out or edgy here, rather the emphasis is on simplicity and sustainability.
Try the vegie burgers served on a wholemeal spelt bun.
Equally alluring is the wide selection of raw salads, “powerballs” for those with a sweet tooth and the variety of milks on offer for vegans.
