Blackpink’s Aussie member has released her own sleep story with Calm
Aussie K-pop star and member of Blackpink, Rosé, just released her own sleep story to help soothe you into catching more Z’s.
The turmoil of these last couple of years has me desperately searching for anything that’ll help me sleep. If that ends up being the soothing tones of a celeb I enjoy, all the better.
I’m not the only one either, with 60 per cent of Australians suffering from at least one chronic sleep symptom according to the Sleep Health Foundation.
There’s a heap of different meditation apps out there, but none hit the headlines quite so much for their famous voices than Calm, the meditation and mental wellness app. Among the list of celebs lending their dulcet tones to your sleep space are Harry Styles, LeBron James, Scottie Pippen and Matthew McConaughey.
Now, we have Aussie Queen, member of incredibly popular K-pop group Blackpink, and style icon — Rosé.
While the collaboration might seem random, apparently the singer has been using Calm herself for some time.
“Taking time to connect with myself at the end of every day is so important for my mental health,” said Rosé in a statement.
“I am so excited to share a Sleep Story on Calm to help others find their own moments of rest and reflection.”
The story itself is a bit like a calming, one-sided chat, with Rosé talking about her preferred ways to relax (climbing into bed with her puppy by her side) and her own struggles falling asleep. Before leading you in some deep breathes and getting into the story.
“Sleeping isn’t always easy for me,” she says in her story, “especially after a hard day. The days you can’t seem to make anybody happy. The days you wish you could just stay in bed and not have to face the world.”
Honestly, nice to fall asleep to someone who gets it. Check it out here.
