Jules Sebastian deletes photo promoting Nature’s Way Vita over editing claims

Jules Sebastian has deleted a photo on Instagram over claims the influencer edited the snap to promote a product she “doesn’t actually use”.

Jules Sebastian has deleted a photo from her social media channels after being accused of editing the snap by followers.

The mum-of-two shared an image of herself buttering four slices of bread in her kitchen alongside a plate of fruit, two empty plates and two mugs that appeared to be filled with milk on Instagram on Tuesday evening.

But it was three tubs of children’s gummy vitamins in the corner that captured the attention of followers.

Jules, who is married to singer Guy Sebastian, told her 251,000 followers she liked to give the product to her two sons each morning, writing: “These vita gummies are great to boost essential nutrients alongside a healthy balanced diet and the kids love them.”

However, fans of the 40-year-old said the three Nature’s Way items looked suspiciously edited into the photo – sparking fury among many who accused Jules of promoting an item she “doesn’t actually use”.

“Promoting a product that you don’t even have in your possession? Holy Photoshop. Lol. No wonder people don’t trust influencers,” one wrote.

“Come on Jules! Don’t be this person! Don’t sell your soul! Guy makes more than enough. Don’t sell your soul for sh*t you don’t actually use,” another raged.

While one woman said: “Do we really believe that you use them when they are photoshopped into the photo? Not authentic at all.”

Others blasted the paid advertisement as “cringe” and labelled it “terrible”.

The furious backlash prompted Jules to delete the snap not long after it was posted – but not before it caught the attention of Instagram account Celeb Spellcheck.

The popular social media account – which shares local Australian celebrity blunders and is best known for poking fun at Elyse Knowles ‘voila’ spelling mistake – shared the photo, writing: “Life hack: photoshopping products into your content #angelsbroughtthemhere”.

Unlike the fans who had commented on Jules’ snap, many saw the funny side this time.

“Defs made on Microsoft paint,” one teased.

“Who wants some watermelon, grape and butter sandwiches?” another laughed.

“Vitamins bigger than a dinner plate. That’s value,” someone else mused.

Others questioned why Jules didn’t just go down to the supermarket and grab the items needed for the post.

Some also defended the star saying there will always be “haters”.

“Who cares if they are Photoshopped? People are weird,” one said.

“I still love you, the haters will say it’s Photoshopped,” another agreed.

It’s not the first time the mum has promoted Vita Gummies on her Instagram page, posing by her pool in a white dress while holding a bottle of the Hair, Skin & Nails vitamins in December.
