Urgent virus warning for more essential businesses across NSW

Chemists, supermarkets and other essential venues continue to be exposed to the virus in regional parts of the state.

How COVID-19 is actually spreading through NSW

Health authorities have issued an evening alert for 13 new Covid-19 exposure sites across regional NSW.

It comes after the state recorded 1164 new locally acquired cases of Covid-19 and, sadly, three deaths of people with the virus.

There are currently 871 Covid cases in hospital, with 143 people in intensive care and 58 of those patients requiring ventilation.

Greater Sydney, including the Blue Mountains and Wollongong, is in lockdown until at least the end of September, while regional NSW is in lockdown until at least September 10.

Anyone who attended the following venues at the times listed is a casual contact who should immediately get tested and remain in self-isolation until they return a negative result.
