Sydney mum Andrea Marambio dies two weeks after birth of fifth child
A family has been left speechless after mother Andrea Marambio died in her sleep, just two weeks after giving birth to a fifth child.
A mother of five has died suddenly, just two weeks after giving birth to another son.
Sydney mother Andrea Marambio, 39, was found dead in her bed last Tuesday morning, leaving her young family devastated and confused.
Her partner Daniel and their children Gabriel, Fabian, Enrique, Sebastian and Tristian are now coming to terms with life without their beloved mother.
Tristian was born just two weeks ago.
“Instead of waking up to their mother’s loving embrace, her poor children were met with the shocking news that they would never see their mother again,” family friend Rend Nashi wrote on a fundraising website for the family.
“Andrea and Daniel have been in love since they were 15 years old, and he now has to face life without her. Our hearts are simply shattered.”
As of Monday, the GoFundMe for the Marambio family had raised more than $44,000.
Husband Daniel posted about his loss on Twitter, revealing he and Andrea had been together for more than 20 years since high school.
“Just to answer everything in one post. My partner since 16yrs old, the mother of our five children passed away this morning,’ he wrote.
“I’ll be gone for a bit, take care of yourselves, tell the ones closest to you that you love them.”
Family friend Ayman Khamas posted on Facebook about the tragedy and asked those with money to spare to donate to the family via the GoFundMe page.
“Money will never bring back a beautiful mother and a loving wife back to her family (but) it will certainly assist in not just covering the funeral costs but also providing for the family,” he wrote.
Mr Khamas said the family would need financial assistance while their father is back at work and is able to sort childcare for their newborn.
“It is also important to ensure that the children have what they need to continue school and education so they don’t go on the wrong path in life,’ he added, thanking everyone who had been able to donate,” he said.
