Martha Kalifatidis reveals ‘weird, ugly symptoms’ after Covid-19
Weeks after battling Covid, this fully vaxxed Aussie reality star is still struggling, admitting life is very different since contracting the virus.
It’s been two weeks since Martha Kalifatidis contracted Covid-19 – but the fashion and beauty influencer has revealed she’s still being plagued by a “weird and ugly symptoms”.
The former Married At First Sight contestant and her fiance Michael Brunelli tested positive to the virus after attending a family gathering during the Christmas period.
But despite several weeks passing, the vaccinated social media star has revealed in a candid Instagram Stories post she’s struggling, admitting she “feels like sh*t”.
“I know I have been so MIA on here, but if I am being honest I still feel pretty sh*t after Covid and it has been over two weeks,” she said on Sunday night.
“I’ve just got all these weird, ugly, lingering symptoms. Like I don’t really do much, I can’t be bothered ever leaving the house. I still can’t taste, I still have blocked ears, blocked nose …
“Anyway I am taking all the supplements and doing all the things but f**k I feel like sh*t.”
The 33-year-old – who recently scored a five-figure deal as a brand ambassador for global fashion e-tailer PrettyLittleThing – later shared a cooking video, telling her 630,000 followers that standing for the short clip left her “puffed out”.
Last week, the social media star warned followers to avoid catching the virus if possible, explaining it was still brutal, despite being vaccinated.
“Covid sucks, it is so f***ing sh*t,” she said. “It’s kind of like cold and flu symptoms and tonsillitis and gastro all in one. Michael actually got hit really hard.”
Martha said symptoms included a sore throat, chest burning, nausea, vomiting, fever and chills.
She was quick to shut down people who were messaging asking why the couple had caught Covid if they were fully vaccinated.
“You can still get Covid if you’ve had all your vaccines – it’s just not as severe,” she said.
She also noted Covid “makes you so f***ing ugly” and urged people to wear masks and sanitise.
