Coronavirus Australia live: 'Cruelty and confusion' - border spat intensifies
The state border feud continues to escalate with Josh Frydenberg taking aim at how it is being managed.
Federal Treasurer Josh Frydenberg has lashed out at the management of state borders during the coronavirus pandemic, saying it has resulted in too much "cruelty and confusion".
Meanwhile, passengers on a popular Sydney bus route are now considered a close contact of a case linked to the CBD cluster, with NSW Health issuing casual contact alerts to dozens of public transport services.
Elsewhere, more than 2200 Victorians have been busted for multiple virus breaches during lockdown - including one man who has copped the $1652 fine 24 times.
Earlier, Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews had a stern message for those who flouted stage 4 restrictions after thousands flocked outside yesterday to enjoy the warm winter weather.
"Let's not make any choices that put at risk all of the progress we have made and could render all of the sacrifice we have made it meaningless. We do not want that. No day at the beach is worth that," he said.
Footage and photos shared online revealed many people were gathering in groups, some wearing their face masks around their necks.
