Bryan Johnson reveals why he measured his penis every night

An American millionaire has claimed to have the same penis age as a 22-year-old after comparing his erectile health to his son.
Bryan Johnson, 47, gathered a huge following on social media due to his pursuit of longevity, overhauling his lifestyle by doing things such as not eating after 11am and getting blood plasma donations from his son.
However, his latest claim is that he has managed to de-age his penis by 15 years — something he has tracked by measuring his night-time erections, claiming it’s a marker of several health issues.
Men can have as many as five erections per night, correlating with Rapid Eye Movement (REM) sleep cycles, and last anywhere between 20 and 30 minutes, according to the University of Newcastle.
A lack of nocturnal erections is also a market of common illnesses impacting erectile dysfunction, such as diabetes. Others have suggested medication, smoking cigarettes and pelvic surgery may impact the number of erections, Wayne State University said. A US study claimed that erectile issues could point to cardiovascular risk.
Some studies have also suggested that because mental health can impact erectile function, it’s not necessarily a marker of illness or testosterone levels, University of Newcastle said.
However, Mr Johnson has claimed it is a huge marker for your body’s actual age.
“It turns out that — this is true for both men and women — that a man’s night-time erections and a woman’s night-time erections – the clitoris engorging — is one of the most important biomarkers of anything about our entire body,” he told MailOnline.
“So while it kicks up some giggles, it really is one of the most important things for all of us to know about our bodies and it’s just not talked about.”
He measured his penis using a device he created called the Adam Sensor, which tracks how often the penis is erect and for how long. It then provides an AndroAge, which he claims reveals the health and age of the penis.
In January, Mr Johnson appeared to go “too far” with fans, after sharing the results of an overnight erection-tracking machine for both himself and his son Talmage, 19. Both their ages were that of a 22-year-old.
“His duration is two minutes longer than mine,” Johnson wrote in the post on X.
“Raise children to stand tall, be firm, and be upright.”
The data he posted included the number of erections, average duration, average quality and overall sleep efficiency the pair have, though Mr Johnson didn’t disclose why he was obtaining the information.
Many have been quick to question why a father would want to know such information about his son, with some reacting with shock and disgust.
“For the love of God, why would you post this on the internet publicly? I feel bad for your son,” one user wrote on X.
“I have a feeling this won’t even crack the top 10 most disturbing chapters in your son’s inevitable autobiography,” another user wrote.
As another stressed: “Still time to delete this.”
Another sarcastically quipped: “Don’t listen to the haters Bryan. Knowing the details of your son’s erections is perfectly normal, and, quite frankly, it would be weirder if you didn’t post about it.”
