Meghan Markle has ‘banned’ Prince Harry from an everyday staple
The Duchess of Sussex has convinced her husband to adopt a vegan diet and give up booze. Now he’s reportedly ditched an everyday staple.
Meghan Markle is proving to be a good influence on her royal husband with new reports saying she’s introduced another diet change for Prince Harry.
After encouraging the 34-year-old to give up drinking alcohol during her pregnancy and having him adopt a vegan lifestyle during the week, the Duchess of Sussex has now also “banned” her partner from drinking caffeinated drinks — and fans are losing it.
With tea and coffee now officially off the menu, Harry is reportedly drinking just mineral water, something fans have branded “cruel”.
“How do you ban an Englishman from drinking tea?” one angry fan wrote Twitter.
Another thought the whole ordeal was “cruel and inhuman”.
“Poor Harry,” one agreed, while someone even declared he was “no longer British”.
However the ‘reformed’ prince is said to be reaping the rewards of his caffeine-free diet, with the royal family apparently “amazed” at the difference in him, according to the Express.
“Considering he’s been a pretty brutal drinker since he was a young teenager, it’s quite an achievement,” a source told the publication.
His friends have also witnessed a difference in the dad-to-be the insider said, revealing he’s “more chilled and relaxed”.
Aside from ditching caffeine, Prince Harry’s health kick includes taking up yoga and increasing his exercise, claims the source.
Friends of the couple have reportedly defended the decision to force Harry to sacrifice tea — a staple among Brits.
“All she did was show him there’s another way to live and he’s become a huge fan,” an unnamed friend told the publication.
“He eats well, doesn’t poison his body, exercises, does a bit of yoga and is a lot happier.”
Last month it was reported that animal lover Meghan, 37, had encouraged Harry to ditch meat and enforced a strict “no-fur policy”.
Just two months before the pair tied the knot in May, the former Suits star was also said to have persuaded Prince Harry to quit smoking.
