A vegan activist has been barred from all licensed venues in her home state for a year after a stoush with a “anti-vegan” celebrity chef.

Perth restaurant Fyre, notorious for banning vegans from dining last month, has taken legal action against a formidable Western Australian vegan activist who has demonstrated twice at the premises.

The activist claims she is also barred from all licenced venues in the state by WA Police as a result.

The second Fyre demonstration on Saturday evening saw activist and OnlyFans creator Tash Peterson and celebrity chef John Mountain lock horns in a physical altercation outside the restaurant in the Perth suburb of Joondalup.

The chef arguably put a target on his back after a decision to ban vegans in June.

The ban, which cited “mental health reasons”, was in response to a customer complaint about the restaurant’s failure to accommodate their dietary needs.

After the run-in however, the restaurant on Thursday evening shared that Peterson and her boyfriend were now legally barred from entering the premises.

The notice informed the pair they would be committing trespass and that the business would “take all appropriate steps to remove and exclude you”.

According to the restaurant’s solicitor, a copy of the trespass notice has been given to the Joondalup Police Station.

“Hahahahahaha and so it begins,” the restaurant posted to Facebook with a picture of the letter.

“Let’s oust her from WA forever. God bless you @vganbooty (Peterson’s online moniker) and all who sail in you. Nice knowing you. #veganslayer #vegan #byeforever.”

Fyre’s supporters shared messages with the restaurant, backing the move.

“Excellent … the vast majority of Perth (and the rest of Australia) are with you,” one shared.

“Love it mate. We are dining with you soon and can’t wait to order a juicy steak,” added another.

Mountain, whose disdain for vegan activism is well reported, lashed Peterson prior to serving her the legal letter.

“She’s just clutching at straws, desperately trying to get another 15 minutes of fame. Her only motivation is to increase her subscriptions on OnlyFans,” Mountain told The West Australian on Wednesday.

“She pulls in $40,000 a month … I’ve looked it all up. She makes nearly as much as me … she just doesn’t have to get out of bed for it.

“There’s procedures in place to make sure she never comes back. She won’t even be allowed to come to the shopping centre.”

It’s unclear whether the letter will deter Peterson and her followers as the activist has built a profile of late through public demonstrations and even dramatic public arrests.

On Thursday, Peterson told a New Zealand radio station she would “possibly” return to Fyre for round three.

“I will never stop speaking up for non-human animals,” she told the station.

“Whether I go back to his restaurant, that’s a possibility, but I’m always going to be targeting places that are contributing to the largest holocaust in history.”

Peterson claims she has received a 12-month Liquor Barring Notice from WA Police, which is her fourth, as a result of the Fyre stoush.

The notice bars her notice from every liquor licenced venue in Western Australia.

“This order is designed for disorderly, drunken and violent people – not animal rights activists,” she said. “They are using it in an attempt to silence me,

“I don’t comply to this anymore, I don’t accept this serving notice.”

WA’s Liquor Control act states: (Barring notices) intended to regulate patron behaviour in licensed premises and reduce the incidence of anti-social behaviour and alcohol-related violence.”

“The WA Police have the power to issue Barring Notices to individuals who are violent or disorderly, engage in indecent behaviour, or contravene any written law on licensed premises,” it states.

She vowed in a video late Thursday night to continue her displays at such venues despite the notice.
