Piers Morgan blasts animal rights activist ‘pathetic’ stunt
Shocking footage showing animal rights campaigners pouring out supermarket milk.
Outspoken British commentator Piers Morgan has blasted animal rights activists after footage emerged of a group pouring out milk in supermarket isles in the UK.
Shocking footage posted to the Animal Rebellion Twitter account shows two campaigners staging a protest in a Waitrose branch by making a massive mess which Morgan labelled: “pathetic”.
Another individual standing nearby was wearing a sign around their neck that said “Plant Based Future” as bemused onlookers watched on.
“Milk Pours are currently happening across the UK,” A statement posted by Animal Rebellion claimed.
“All are concerned individuals calling on the government to give us a liveable future, a #PlantBasedFuture.
“Here’s the latest milk pour happening in Edinburgh Waitrose.”
But Morgan wasn’t going to have it.

“You’re not ‘concerned individuals’ – you’re pathetic attention-seeking morons,” he tweeted after seeing the footage.
The protest was a part of co-ordinated efforts that took place today in stores like Waitrose, Whole Foods and Marks and Spencer in London, Manchester, Norwich and Edinburgh.
Footage from each location shows several protesters pouring milk from the shelves onto the floor and display cabinets.
But Morgan wasn’t the only one severely irked at the stunt.
“I really hope you lose the support you crave today. This is a massive miscalculation on your part in the midst of a cost of living crisis. Bravo,” UK columnist Georgie Bingham wrote tweeted.
“You do realise that more milk needs to be bought to replace this, right?” podcaster Mikhaila Peterson, daughter of outspoken clinical psychologist Jordan Peterson, wrote.
“Posh people expecting low-paid shop workers to clear up after their self-indulgent tantrums,” UK Trade Envoy to Israel Ian Austin wrote.
The group said it is calling for a plant-based future and highlighting the need to support farmers in transitioning to a sustainable plant-based food system, The Sun reported.
Last month, members also hit the headlines for throwing white paint over the Houses of Parliament.
Four members of Animal Rebellion, who glued themselves to the pavement, were also removed.
They sprayed the walkway with gallons of fake milk.
“Liz Truss must act on dairy farming,” One said.
“Climate change, which dairy farming worsens, is the biggest problem of our time.”
Animal Rebellion said its supporters acted as an “escalation of their plant-based future campaign”.
In the summer, they revealed a plot to shut down dairy farms and factories, plunging Britain into a milk shortage.
They warned that 500 campaigners would block distribution centres and fill supermarket trolleys with milk to prevent customers from buying it.
It marks Morgan’s second run-in with Activists this week after he snapped at an environmental campaigner on Wednesday’s episode of his Sky News show Piers Morgan Uncensored.
The Sky News host invited Just Stop Oil protester James Skeet after emergency vehicles got caught up in their blockade.
The climate campaign group had spent days demonstrating in London, blocking roads from shops and restaurants. A fire engine and an ambulance were briefly caught up in their blockade on Wednesday, prompting the British government to say this kind of protest “isn’t acceptable.”
“At what point, when you’re blocking fire engines and ambulances, are you concerned about lives being lost by what you’re doing?” Morgan asked the advocate.
“Well, the whole reason we’re doing this is because we’re concerned about lives being lost and,” Skeet replied before the interview descended bickering into chaos.
