‘I’m done’: Full insect found after biting into Hungry Jack’s burger
A woman has been confronted with a nightmare scenario after biting into a fast food burger.
A Darwin woman has put Hungry Jack’s on blast and sworn off takeaway after finding a “full insect” while biting into a chicken burger.
Sophia Mauboy posted photos of the aftermath to Facebook, with a few scathing words for the Casuarina store.
“I’ve never been one to experience it or complain about it, but I’m done,” she exclaimed.

“I get three-quarters though a chicken burger, and I notice antennas. I peel back the top bun and no joke it’s a full insect - centipede-looking thing.
“Save yourself the trouble and just don’t go there. It’s just unacceptable.
“I will never eat takeout again.”
The insect in the photo appears to be an earwig that, if threatened, can deliver a painful but non-venomous nip with its hind pincers.
In less than 24 hours, her post was shared over 300 times with “WTF” and vomit emojis, a recurring theme.
“Nah, that’s f**ked,” one friend wrote.
“That’s proper yuck! How you make a whole burger and miss that?” another inquired.
“I wish I seen this earlier, I just had Hungry Jacks,” another ominously added.
A statement from the chain confirmed it was investigating Ms Mauboy’s claims.
“Hungry Jack’s is aware of the Facebook post regarding a burger purchased from its Darwin (Casuarina) restaurant and is investigating,” it said.
