Urgent Woolworths hot cross bun recall in NSW
The delicious easter treat has been recalled amid fears they could’ve been contaminated with metal shavings.
Two hot cross bun products are a part of an urgent recall from a Woolworths supermarket over fears they’ve been contaminated with metal shavings.
The Woolworths 6pk Fruit Hot Cross Buns and Woolworths 9pk Fruit Hot Cross Mini Buns have been pulled from shelves.
The affected products were available for sale at Woolworths Dural in NSW only and have a best before date of April 5, 2023.
Food Standards Australia says those who eat the hot cross buns may be injured.
““The recall is due to the presence of foreign matter (metal),” the organisation said.
“Food products containing metal may cause illness/injury if consumed.”
Those who have purchased the affected products are urged not to eat them and should return to the store for a full refund.
Those who are concerned about their health should seek medical advice.
