Cheese lovers are being urged to check if they have bought a product currently under an urgent recall.

Products from Cheese Full Circle sold through Long Paddock Cheese and The Cheese School are being recalled due to fears they have been contaminated with E. coli.

If consumed, E. coli can cause serious food poisoning with symptoms including diarrhoea, stomach cramps and fever.

The company’s Driftwood Cheese in both the 180g size and wedges from the 1kg pack are affected by the recall.

The products have been available for sale at independent food retailers in NSW, Victoria and online as well as IGA Macedon in Victoria.

Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice and should return the products to the place of purchase for full refund.

Affected cheeses include:

  • Long Paddock Cheese Driftwood Cheese 180g #151 with a best before date of 29/08/2023
  • Long Paddock Cheese Driftwood Cheese 1kg #151 with a best before date of 29/07/2023, sold as cut & wrapped wedges
