Urgent recall issued for popular frozen meal sold at Coles, Woolies
An urgent recall has been issued for a product nationwide that was sold at major supermarkets.
Popular frozen meals are being urgently recalled at supermarkets across Australia over a major error on the packaging.
Patties Food Group is recalling a range of On The Menu Entree products that have been available to buy at Coles, Woolworths, IGA and other independent retailers, including No Waste Australia.
Food Standards Australia issued the recall on Thursday over fears the packaging could melt as the meal is cooked.
“The recall is due to an error on the packaging. Oven cooking instructions are not compatible with the product tray,” the recall said.
There are fears the tray could melt, burning consumers with plastic or ruining ovens.
The impacted products include; On the Menu Entree 3 cheese macaroni (260g) – best-before dates 27/03/26 and 14/03/26, On The Menu Entree beef lasagne (260g) – best-before dates 12/03/26 and 20/03/26, and On The Menu Entree spaghetti and meatballs (260g) – best-before date 19/03/26.
Customers are being urged to return the products to the place of purchase, where they will get a full refund.
However, Patties Food Group said the product was safe to consume if cooked in the microwave.
