An urgent recall has been issued for a baby cucumber brand after more than a dozen people fell ill over the Christmas period.
WA Health issued the advice on the Qukes baby cucumber product following an apparent outbreak of diarrhoea among people who consumed the product.
The presence of Salmonella Typhimurium was detected in cucumbers purchased from a Perth metropolitan supermarket on December 23.
The testing came after 19 people who consumed the product fell ill.
WA Health has said the product is not safe to consume and should be thrown out.
Information about the outbreak has been communicated to the supplier, Perfection Fresh in South Australia.
The Department of Health WA has launched an investigation and is advising people not to consume Qukes purchased in December 2022.
No other cucumber brand is currently impacted.
